Rocketman has premiered at the Cannes film Festival to great acclaim – it’s released this week in the UK, and on 31 May in the US.

Rocketman is directed by Dexter Fletcher and is billed as “a true fantasy”. It stars Taron as Elton John; Jamie Bell as Elton’s songwriting partner, lyricist Bernie Taupin; Richard Madden as Elton’s manager and boyfriend John Reid; and Dallas Bryce Howard as Elton’s mother Sheila Eileen.
