*** Check out my 4-star review of Mission Impossible: Fallout ***
Yes Tom’s foot is finally better and he’s back to his best!
Fallout isn’t a bad title considering Tom’s propensity for accidentally hurting himself. Though hopefully all these stunts were less “fallout” and more “remove oneself gracefully whilst fully in control”, though I appreciate that’s a bit of a long subtitle to go on a poster, and frankly Film Twitter would go apeshit over wanton misuse of character count.
I’m staying well away from nuclear analogies though, as the world is frankly too dangerous at the moment to even joke about that. (Though if you’ve found a way to access Netflix when the wifi has gone and you’re hiding out for two weeks under the kitchen table until the radioactivity has reduced, then please let me know.)
I felt quite sick watching this trailer, but that’s entirely my fault for watching Ethan Hunt in action when I’m scared of heights and don’t really like driving. Or dying in a nuclear firestorm (sorry I know I said no nuclear jokes). But l love Rebecca Ferguson and Angela Bassett, and Tom is always watchable (“always watchable” is what I write when I fancy a film star, by the way.)
Check it out below – the film is released on 27 July 2018 in the UK and USA and stars Tom, Rebercca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, and Henry Cavill. Mission Impossible: Fallout is directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
