You Don’t Have To Be Into MMA To Enjoy Girl Fight: A Muay Thai Story. Trailer HERE

3rd May 2017 by Sarah Leave a Comment

Matthew Kaplowitz, co-director of the fascinating short film Concrete & Crashpads: Stunts In New York, has gone solo for his first feature length documentary and it’s a moving, exciting story. A must for fans of MMA and women’s sports, it’s also an engrossing watch for anyone who loves to feel part of an emotional journey. I’ve never been interested in MMA but Girl Fight: a Muay Thai Story is about universal themes.

Following Prairie Rugilo in her women-only Muay Thai school, as she and her students prepare for fights and face the highs and lows of competing, their stories are entwined with the story of Jersey Shore itself, an area devastated by Hurricane Sandy but now on the way back up – and where Prairie lives and trains.

Check out the Girl Fight: A Muay Thai trailer below. My review of this full length documentary is here and you can watch the whole film on Amazon Prime in the UK and on Amazon Prime in the US. Interview with Matthew Kaplowitz coming soon.
