The sequel to 2018’s $530 million-grossing megalodon movie The Meg is out in UK cinemas on 4 August, just in time for Brits stuck in drizzly Britain to head into the cinema for some warmth and a hot coffee. Those of you heading to boiling hot mainland Europe and hoping for some seaside respite, well, um I have some bad news for you.
The film promises “multiple massive Megs”, but having seen our saviour in the second poster – YES I’M TALKING ABOUT PINK-BOWED PIPPIN – something tells me all will be okay (subject to the usual victims, many of whom you can see dying gruesomely yet entertainingly in the first trailer).
Meg 2: The Trench is directed by Ben Wheatley and stars Jason Statham once again as Jonas Taylor.

I have seen both and Pippin is the star. The movie does not disappoint Megs back 35 million years ago were 50 feet long. Jurassic time period the Ocean was full of super big creatures that would eat a dinosaur taking a drink of water. Wait till it hits on Blue Ray. CG gets better and better. Jason is great as ever.
