GREENLAND: episode 1 of the GERRYSTORM podcast

25th February 2021 by Sarah Leave a Comment

People stepping up in a crisis. A system you have no idea how to navigate, yet must. The constant threat of everything disappearing in an instant. A particularly hot lead. No not Greenland, actually yes Greenland, but also me trying to edit the first episode of Gerrystorm.

Listen to all episodes here or check out the first GERRYSTORM episode below, with my guest Neil Vagg from Get Your Comic On. We discuss the Greatest Living Scotsman’s latest movie, Greenland – a disaster film about the Garrity family’s attempt to survive Clarke, a comet that’s on a collision course with Earth.

We definitely go deep into Greenland‘s bleak vs hopeful outlook, but even at the end of the world we want to know all the gossip – who exactly was John Garrity shagging to make his wife throw him out?

Plus: would we be on a Government shelter list if a comet came calling? Would Neil save both cats or just one? And what lengths would I actually go to for a seat on the last plane out (it’s bad and I’m sorry).

When you see the last loo roll being looted out of Tesco

Big thanks to Neil and to Andrew from The Spoilist for their expert advice. As a first attempt in GarageBand, all editing screw-ups are mine (yes I know there are some) though like cleaning, editing is only something anyone notices if it’s done badly or not at all.

Read my review of Greenland and my article Greenland: How It Ends.
