Spies In Disguise – kids’ review! 4 stars☆☆☆☆☆

I thought Spies in Disguise was exciting and very funny. I saw it at half term with my brother and my friends.

It’s about a top spy called Lance Sterling who is turned into a pigeon by Walter, a really clever teenage boy who makes amazing gadgets but doesn’t want to kill anyone.

Agent Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and Walter (Tom Holland)

I was confused at the start because you know Walter’s mum is going to die but then they don’t say anything about her for a long time. She is a policewoman, and sacrifices her life for other people. Me and my big brother guessed she was going to die because that happens a lot in films for children.

My favourite character was Agent Lance Sterling (Will Smith). What I liked about Agent Sterling was because he fights crime. He is the best spy and he sounds very funny when he’s defeating the criminals.

There’s a bad guy with a robot hand who they call Robohand (Ben Mendelsohn), he disguises himself with Agent Sterling’s face so when he escapes with his Assassin drone in his suitcase everyone thinks Lance has done it.

Agent Sterling gets targeted by a woman called Marcy (Rashida Jones) in his spy organisation because now they think he’s a bad guy, and he has to get Walter to help him.

Ears (DJ Khaled), Eyes (Karen Gillan) and Marcy (Rashida Jones)

The problem is Agent Sterling is the person who fired Walter (Tom Holland) from the spy organisation because he kept making spy gadgets full of glitter. He has found out that glitter and cuddly things make people happy.

All his gadgets are made of things like glitter and cushions with kittens on them. He’s even invented an inflatable ball which is like a big hug.

I liked Walter because he’s pretty cool, and he’s kind and friendly.

Sterling goes to Walter’s house and accidentally drinks Walter’s special invention with turns him into a pigeon. No one notices pigeons so Agent Sterling can go after the guy with the robot hand.

He meets some other pigeons who are like his new flock which is hard for him because he likes working alone and he doesn’t like being a pigeon.

Agent Lance Sterling (left!)

They all have to work together to stop Robohand using his drone to steal a database with the names of all the American spies on it, and Walter doesn’t want to kill anyone which makes it harder.

They go all round the world to Mexico and Venice to find Robohand which makes it stay interesting.

I liked Walter’s other pet pigeon who wants to be in love with Agent Sterling when he’s a pigeon. They didn’t kiss though which was good.

It was also really funny when Sterling changes back into a human but has a tiny hand.

I would like to see more films with Agent Sterling turning into a pigeon and saving the world with Walter.
