Apart from Sonic The Hedgehog this is my favourite film at the moment and I think lots of kids my age would like it (I am 8). I’ve watched it about seven times now. I’ll probably watch it again later. It never gets boring.
The story is that Jake, who everyone calls Supe, is a smokejumper, they jump into forest fires from helicopters and fight them.

Jake has three other smokejumpers working with him: Axe (Tyler Mane), Rodrigo (John Leguizamo) and Mark (Keegan-Michael Key). Jake likes everything to be tidy and follows the rules. He’s a big muscly dude. He is played by John Cena who is really funny.
One day he rescues three children from a burning house in the forest but their parents aren’t there. The fire crew takes them back to the fire depot and wait for their parents to arrive but they never come.
Even though they have just been rescued the children are pretty rude especially to Jake. They finds lots of dangerous things at the depot and make a mess. Bryn (Brianna Hildebrand) is the eldest, she is a teenager. Then there is Will and then Zoey, who is a toddler.
Will (Christian Convery) was my favourite of the children. I liked it when he accidentally scratched the fire truck and each time he tried to make it better it got worse and worse. In the end he filled the garage up with the foam they use to put out fires.

My favourite character of all was Axe, he is even bigger than Jake and he doesn’t say anything until near the end when it turns out he can talk and sing like an opera singer. He is friends with Zoey and for her birthday the smokejumpers go to the supermarket and buy her so much stuff, way too much really.
I thought it was a very funny film, my favourite joke is when Jake starts telling Zoey, who is only 3, a bedtime story and he says “There once was a man from Nantucket”.
Another time she poos when he’s wearing his fireman outfit and it goes up his sleeve and all over his face then he has to have a shower and scrub his tongue, I loved that bit. I don’t know if they used real poo for that joke.
Jake doesn’t understand kids though they are all friends by the end.
