Reasons to be chervil: Wild Mountain Thyme gets a UK release date

10th April 2021 by Sarah Leave a Comment

*** My review is now live ***

I think so, anyway — you may prefer to drown your sorrels, judging by its US reception.

Yes, the film that had the US abuzz with astonishment is finally coming here: Wild Mountain Thyme will be available for digital rental on 30 April (there’s a Republic of Ireland cinema release in the summer too though I don’t have a date for that).

Despite the reviews so far, I’m still massively looking forward to it even though I already want Rosemary (Emily Blunt) to run off with Adam (Jon Hamm) rather than hang around the farm waiting for sweet but drippy Anthony (Jamie Dornan) to propose.

The (five) bar to true love: Anthony (Jamie Dornan) and Rosemary (Emily Blunt)

I guess I’m just not cut out for traditional romcoms as the rich, handsome guy always seems like a better bet than the actual love interest.

The short IMDB synopsis is here:

A pair of star-crossed lovers in Ireland get caught up in their family’s land dispute.

Marry him, Rosemary! Rosemary (Emily Blunt) and Adam (Jon Hamm)

You can also check out the trailer and immensely long synopsis here (please appreciate my puns in that article, I’ve been a tarragon of virtue so far but I would rue the day I let an opportunity like that slip away).
