I don’t think I’ve seen Liz Hurley in a movie since she played Vanessa “Fembot” Kensington in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, firing bullets out of her “machine gun jugglies”*. I guess after an iconic turn like that you have to think carefully about your next high profile acting gig.
*Five minutes ago, after I fell down an Austin Powers wormhole. Yeah baby!
Anyway she’s on screen again, this time as Rachel, nursing a festive broken heart in sunnier climes. I have a soft spot for Liz — now a bona fide British National Treasure — who when she wasn’t living in her impractical white jeans wore a thigh-split red dress revealing leopard print knickers to her friends’ society wedding.
Okay enough Liz-Love, here’s the extremely short Christmas In The Caribbean synopsis:
Left at the altar by her fiancé, Rachel (Elizabeth Hurley) takes her best friends on her honeymoon to the Caribbean, where she gets her groove on and finds love at the beach.

Christmas In The Caribbean is directed by Philippe Martinez (A Week in Paradise, One Year Off, Father Christmas is Back) and Written by Nathalie Cox and Philippe Martinez.
The film stars Elizabeth Hurley (The Royals, Gossip Girl), Caroline Quentin (Bridgerton, Life Begins) and Nathalie Cox (Clash of The Titans, Exam).
Christmas In The Caribbean is in US cinemas and on demand on 2 December 2022.
