225 Film Club: Promoting Female Excellence In Direction
Created in 2018 to promote female excellence in film direction, 225 Film Club showcases current and past narrative and documentary short film work by female and non-binary filmmakers, introduces directors and producers, and raises money to support women in film.
The official selection screens at the BFI on Friday 9 December, with backing from BFI Inclusion. The BEST SHORT FILM and BEST MICRO SHORT FILM awards are chosen by a panel of outstanding industry judges, including veteran producer Esther Springer (Creators Inc) and BAFTA Elevate Producer Dominique Unsworth MBE.
The programme is curated by Director Rita Osei, who created 225 Film Club. Scroll down for the 225 Film Club 4 Official Collection — you can also get a feel for the initiative by checking out my round-up of the shortlist from 225 Film Club 3.
