There’s a new film coming out in April 2017 from Fox Searchlight Pictures. Directed by Marc Webb, the film is called Gifted and it’s about a little girl called Mary who is being brought up by her uncle after his sister Diane – her mother – dies.
Mary is gifted, but her father has promised his sister that he will give Mary a normal childhood.
Gifted film stars Chris no-not-the-ginger-presenter-one Evans as Frank Adler, and Mckenna Grace as Mary Adler, with Lindsay Duncan as her grandmother. Jenny Slate plays Mary’s teacher Bonnie, who first realises that Mary may indeed be gifted.
And you know what, sorry for this terrible article title – as Mary says in the film, “no one likes a smart-ass”.
