The Catfish Christmas trailer is here (what do you mean, “too soon”)

16th October 2022 by Sarah Leave a Comment

Listen, it’s only seven weeks TODAY until Christmas 2022, and you’re lucky I’m not telling you about Christmas 2023 (435 days, folks!). It’s never too soon, is what I’m saying.

Catfish Christmas — a title I suspect was developed before the actual story, which is fine as I love alliteration as much as I love Christmas — has a trailer, which you can watch below.

Here’s the synopsis:

A heartbroken young woman returns home for the holidays and feels the family pressure of being single. Her loving and nosy sister hatches a plan to set her upon an online date with a handsome professional athlete. But things take an unexpected turn when he turns out not to be her “prince in shining armour”, and her childhood best friend shows her that true love may be much closer to home.

I suspect I’ll be cheerleading for her to get together with the handsome professional athlete, but I am really shallow.

Catfish Christmas stars Leigh-Ann Rose (Law & Order: SVU), Charlotte Evelyn Williams (NCIS), Devin Laster (Dark Seeker), Anthony Riggins Jr. (Brad), with Ella Joyce (Set It Off), and Tony Todd (Candyman). The film is directed by Victoria Rowell (The Young & The Restless).

The festive romcom is out on VOD/major streaming and cable platforms in the US and Canada on 1 December 2022.
