It’s a thankless task being a personal assistant. Still at least most of them get to retire, or die, to end their torment after what feels like several centuries. Not Renfield though, still sorting out dinner and dry-cleaning that cape for Dracula after literally several centuries.
Can he finally step out of the shadow of his count of a boss, when his boss is trying to kill him?
Here’s the synopsis:
In this modern monster tale of Dracula’s loyal servant, Nicholas Hoult stars as Renfield, the tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss, Dracula (Oscar® winner Nicolas Cage). Renfield is forced to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness. If only he can figure out how to end his codependency.
Renfield is in cinemas on 14 April. The film is directed by Chris McKay and co-stars Awkwafina, Ben Schwartz and Adrian Martinez and Emmy winner and Oscar® nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo.
