New Trailer for xXx: Return of Xander Cage & Autocorrects Everywhere Are Freaking Out

2nd November 2016 by Sarah Leave a Comment

My autocorrect is fine of course because xXx is how I sign off my texts (even to my bank manager. In fact especially to my bank manager. Never works though).

Anyway! That new xXx: Xander Cage trailer. As you probably know it’s pronounced Triple X and is the third in the franchise following on from xXx in 2002 and xXx: State of the Union in 2005 (in which Vin Diesel did not appear, having apparently been killed, and which was a critical and commercial failure). The new Xander Cage film is directed by D J Caruso and it stars Vin Diesel, Deepika Padukone, Donnie Yen, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, Samuel L Jackson and Tony Jaa.

In this third instalment Xander Cage is back, having been in self imposed exile during the previous film letting everyone think he was dead. He and his team have to recover a weapon called Pandora’s Box, coming up against criminal Xiang (Donnie Yen) in the process. I like the trailer but it does have shades of “all the best bits of the film in the trailer” trailer-ness.
