NEW TRAILER for Wonder Woman 1984: Diana faces off with feline frenemy Cheetah

*** My four-star review is now live ***

And it’s still heading for cinemas – the only thing digital in this promo is a watch.

“Anything you want. Anything you dream of, you can have it!” offers dodgy-as-hell businessman Max Lord on one of his infomercials, instantly grabbing the attention of the bitter and lonely Barbara Minerva.

Diana, meanwhile, is very distracted at the unexpected return of Steve Trevor, though soon she’s fighting Cheetah (is it unfeminist to call it a cat fight?)

I just looked back at my post for the first WW84 trailer, last December. Those were simpler, easier times, when I could type “Wonder Woman 1984 is out on 5 June 2020” and mean it.

Still, onwards and upwards, hopefully while wielding a truth lasso and assisted by Steve dressed in gorgeous 80s pastels and maybe some diagonal stripes. YES! There is a “let’s try on a succession of outfits” scene but this time it’s the guy, while Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince gives advice.

Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince / Wonder Woman; Kristen Wiig as the mousy and bitter Barbara Minerva / Cheetah; Chris Pine as Steve Trevor; and Pedro Pascal as the dodgy, dangerously be-wigged businessman Max Lord.

Patty Jenkins directs from a script she co-wrote with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham, and it’s out on… 2 October 2020!
