Set to a slowed down and rather creepy Seasons In The Sun, this trailer for next year’s John Wick: Chapter 4 pursues a familiar theme: family, and the pull it exerts even when they’re trying to kill you. As usual there are plenty of callbacks to the earlier films, some laughing at the series’ own tropes (religion, “I’m going to need a gun”, the endless rain) and some more sinister. This time he faces a young, smooth, blond foe in Bill Skarsgård’s Marquis de Gramont, perhaps what Viggo Tarasov’s son could have become if hubris had not led him to an early death at Wick’s hands.
Though it was the “find your peace” comment to John struck me most, harking back to what John’s wife Helen wrote in her posthumously-delivered note along with her gift of Daisy the puppy (RIP) in the first film: “Now that I have found my peace, find yours.”

Here’s the synopsis:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) shoots lots of people, is nearly killed in hand to hand combat before emerging the victor then discovers even more of the world’s assassins are after him. Exit stage left, limping and bleeding. The End.
I’m kidding. It’s this:
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) uncovers a path to defeating The High Table. But before he can earn his freedom, Wick must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe and forces that turn old friends into foes.
Here’s the trailer:
John Wick: Chapter 4 is directed by Chad Stahelski and stars Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins and Ian McShane.
