225 Film Club Festival – NEW for 2026: the FEATURE FILM LOG LINE COMPETITION

20th October 2026 by Sarah Leave a Comment

The 225 Film Club Festival screens excellent current narrative and documentary short films by female and non-binary filmmakers, introduces directors and producers, and supports women in film.

Ahead of the festival’s main screening event in December – the eighth – we launched our inaugural FEATURE FILM LOG LINE COMPETITION, creating new pathways for directors to connect with producers and advance their feature film projects. Our first industry partner is producer Susan Simnett.

Filmmakers submit a 30 word or less Log Line, a 100 word or less Story Synopsis, a key image of their Vision, and a Visual Video (2 minutes max) introducing themselves and their project.

Ten long listed projects were invited to submit their full decks, and our six finalists will pitch their projects to Susan Simnett.

Susan’s Executive Producer credits include 2026 Cannes Directors Fortnight title La Libertad Doble/Double Freedom, The Education of Jane Cumming, 2026 Berlinale Silver Bear Winner Everybody Digs Bill Evans, Brides, Chuck Chuck Baby, Apart and 2026 Sundance World Documentary Special Jury Prize Winner Everybody to Kenmure Street.
