The Ravine is based on the book of the same name by Kelly Pascuzzi and Robert Pascuzzi, who co-wrote the film with director Keoni Waxman (The Hard Way). I haven’t read the book, though it sounds likes it’s a mix of true crime, religion and spirituality. I’m not sure how closely the movie adheres to that story, though the trailer looks more small-town thriller, where one hideous crime starts the process of uncovering many secrets…
Here’s the synopsis:
When an unspeakable crime rocks a peaceful community, family and friends are left to wonder if they overlooked the murderer among them or if there might be more to the story.
…and the trailer:
The Ravine is out in US cinemas and available on demand on 6 May 2022. The film stars Eric Dane, Teri Polo, Peter Facinelli, Byron Mann, Leslie Uggams and Kyle Lowder.
