*** My review is now live ***
As the prospect of a summer holiday recedes into the distance, what better movie to watch than a cautionary tale about what can happen if you actually go on holiday? At least you can consoler yourself that people actually allowed to go on vacation are having a way worse time than you.
And it’s about a birthday trip! I won’t lie, the schadenfreude was strong on this one, as later this week it’s my BIG birthday (no I’m not 100, you cheeky sod) and the trip I was planning for this year as I sat in front of a Zoom screen during my first lockdown birthday last year has been downgraded to my own back garden with fizz provided by Tesco.
Here’s the synopsis:
As a birthday treat for one of their number, four friends head to Hawaii to investigate reports of a haunting at an abandoned resort in hopes of finding the infamous Half-Faced Girl. When they arrive, they soon learn you should be careful what you wish for…
