They’re fast. And deadly. And DEAD.
Mark Dacascos is back – yay! – as another hitman – double yay! – in The Driver, alongside his real-life wife Julie Condra and daughter Noelani Dacascos, as the family of the film.
As someone who would only drive fast when (a) pursued by zombies or (b) the farmer’s market looks set to run out of organic sourdough, this is the movie I need to get me through life – whether 2020 is as bad as it gets, or only the beginning of The End.
Here’s the synopsis:
After a zombie plague decimates human life on Earth, a former hitman (Dacascos) lives quietly with his wife and daughter Bree in a survivalist compound. When their home is attacked, a massive explosion summons a swarm of ravenous corpses and only Bree and her father escape the carnage. As they seek out ‘The Haven’, a rumoured sanctuary located far north, the take-no-prisoners hitman teaches his daughter how to kill, drive and survive in the violent, zombie-ridden post-apocalyptic wasteland.
The Driver is written and directed by Wych Kaosayananda. It’s out on digital download from 12 October and DVD from 19 October – from Lionsgate UK.
