Teenage love. Acting. The correct way to pronounce Barbra StreiSAND.
Yes, it’s the trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza, about a high school boy who falls in love. And gets a lesson from film producer Jon Peters on film star names.
Here’s the very short synopsis:
Set in 1970s San Fernando Valley, the film follows a high school student, who is also a successful child actor.
The film stars Cooper Hoffman (Philip Seymour Hoffman’s son), Haim‘s Alana Haim, Tom Waits, Sean Penn, Benny Safdie and Bradley Cooper (as Jon Peters, who produced the 1976 version of A Star Is Born, which was remade in 2018 by… Bradley Cooper).
It has a limited US release on 26 November — and is “coming soon” to UK cinemas.
Oh and apparently a licorice pizza is a vinyl record.
