“We don’t get a lot of things to really care about.”
When I heard there was a Nicolas Cage film coming out about a talented pig, I did wonder if, like that famous dog on ’80s British TV show That’s Life, it could say “sausages” — then I thought that was too icky even for the twisted minds of Hollywood.
The pig in question is an expert truffle-finder, and also the one thing Rob (Cage), who lives in the woods alone but for his porcine companion, cares about.
When the pig is stolen he has to return to Portland to face his past in his quest to be reunited with her (or him! I have no idea which).

Even after just watching the trailer I am not sure if I can face the movie — what if she appears in a post-credits scene as a bacon sandwich?
Check the new trailer out for yourself below.
Pig is written and directed by Michael Sarnoski and stars Cage, Alex Wolff and Adam Arkin. The NEON film is out in US cinemas on 16 July though sadly there’s no UK date yet.
