A parallel universe sci-fi filmed in Lockdown in the UK, with Ian McKellen? Bring it on!
Between the two of them, Tori and Matthew Butler-Hart (the team behind ghostly siren song The Isle) kept busy last summer writing, filming, starring in and editing Infinitum: Subject Unknown.
Here’s the (very brief) synopsis (there is a much longer one but it’s pretty spoilery. In a parallel universe I’m going full “publish and be damned” with that though):
A mind-bending slice of British science fiction, as Jane (Tori Butler-Hart) is trapped in a parallel universe and is forced to find a way to alter her reality before it is too late.
Matt Butler-Hart directed, with the whole crew working remotely apart from star and director – who took excellent advantage of our near-empty streets to make it. Appearing with Tori Butler-Hart and Ian McKellen is Conleth Hill, who was also in The Isle.
Infinitum: Subject Unknown has already been sold around the world, and comes out on digital in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand on 22 March and DVD on 26 April (it’s released in the US in the summer).
