I literally forgot all about A Quiet Place 2 after we went into Lockdown in March 2020 — maybe my subconscious at work once we were sheltering from a new foe outside, or maybe Bond 25 and TENET were filling up all the “release date leapfrogging” space — though this trailer has brought it all back.
It feels weird planning to go out to see a film where going out is the most dangerous thing you can do, and I’ll probably tiptoe home in the dark afterwards.

Here’s the synopsis (if you need a recap, dad Lee, played by John Krasinski, died at the end of the first film):
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realise that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.
A Quiet Place 2 is written and directed by John Krasinski, and stars Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Djimon Hounsou. Krasinski also appears, as we finally see the original apocalypse when the monsters attacked.
It’s out in cinemas on 43 June (28 May for the US).
