It’s the newest film in Four8’s “I AM” series, which aims to reintroduce biblical characters in timeless settings, exploring their individual journeys and humanising their experience.
Four8 Productions are launching the short film on their YouTube channel on April 5th, with a broadcast on London Live on April 12 as part of the channel’s Easter film programming too.
I AM PILATE follows a journalist sent to the home of former district governor for an interview, but his routine obituary fact check reveals an extraordinary secret.
Directed by Femi Oyeniran (Adulthood, Kidulthood, Turn Up Charlie), the film features a poignant lead turn by Shaun Scott (The Kingsman, The Bill), with his younger self played by Jamie Kristian.
Supporting performances come from a diverse cast including Jazz Lintott (The Intent), Letitia Hector (Venus vs. Mars, Famalam) and newcomer Kayode Akinyemi.
