The horrors of war are entangled with things that go bump in the night (and during the day) in this first trailer for British indie horror The Unfamiliar.
Here’s the synopsis:
British Army doctor Elizabeth “Izzy” Cormack, returns from war to rekindle her relationship with her estranged family. Inexplicable events in the house are put down to her suffering from PTSD, until she discovers a terrifying, invisible enemy that has infested her entire family. Her attempt to save them sees her pulled into a dark underworld of ancient mythology.
The Unfamiliar is out on digital download in the UK on 11 September, in the US on 21 August, and in South Africa on 28 October.

It’s directed by Henk Pretorius, and stars Jemima West as Izzy, Christopher Dane as husband Ethan, Rebecca Hanssen as their daughter Emma, Harry McMillan-Hunt as their son Tommy, Rachel Lin as Auntie Mae and Tori Butler-Hart as Kaimoni.
