We Are One: A Global Film Festival launches with films from festivals around the world

26th May 2020 by Sarah

The online festival, produced and organised by YouTube and Tribeca Enterprises, will run exclusively on YouTube from 29 May to 7 June at YouTube.com/WeAreOne.

We Are One will feature programming from 21 festivals and 35 countries, including Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, London Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. Talks, VR content and musical performances are also scheduled.

The full festival schedule will be available at www.weareoneglobalfestival.com

The BFI London Film Festival (LFF) is contributing two silent films restored by the BFI National Archive, Shiraz: Romance of India (1928) and Epic of Everest (1924) – with richly evocative, newly commissioned scores from contemporary musicians Anoushka Shankar and Simon Fisher Turner.

They are also presenting Rudeboy, a documentary about the UK’s Trojan records, behind many 60s reggae, ska and rocksteady hits from Desmond Dekker to The Maytals; and a short film programme of emerging UK filmmakers. Check out times below (and scroll to the bottom for more images to whet your appetite for LFF’s contribution to We Are One: A Global Film Festival)
