The latest iteration of the US poster now has an on-demand release date of 7 August. Pre Covid-19, The Secret Garden was originally set for UK/US releases on 10/17 April (remember April? Me neither. I think we may have skipped it).
The Secret Garden tells the story of prickly 10 year old orphan Mary Lennox (Dixie Egerickx), sent from India to to England to live with prickly old Uncle Colin Firth in his country house, with grounds so large you can actually lose a garden in it.
This adaptation has moved the story forward to 1947, post-WW2 and pre-Partition (Frances Hodgson Burnett’s novel is set at the beginning of the 20th century).
Here’s the poster, and scroll down for all the images we have so far.
Admit it, you started Lockdown firm in the belief that your window box / damp kitchen towel on a plastic tray / back garden / country estate would look like this by the time we emerged, didn’t you.
