UK cinema chain Cineworld have announced that they, and Picturehouse, which they own, will now reopen on 31 July. Previously they were aiming for 10 July.

Cinemas in England can open from 4 July, though now the big films have moved back – TENET is now coming out on 12 August – some may well be thinking there isn’t much point.

In fact with so little available in the way of new movies many chains will be bulking out schedules with classics. So if you’ve never seen The Matrix on the big screen this could be your chance, if you’re prepared to go.
This article from The Telegraph from 30 June is a good overview of re-openings, films showing and likely measures that will be in place, though it came out before Picturehouse confirmed they were moving their reopening back.
And above all follow their advice and check with your local cinema – there have been many changes to reopening dates already and who’s to say there won’t be more.
